Web 2.0 and tools for teaching and learning
Today, I learn about the tools that I can use for my teaching and learning. As today is a presentation day, we need to choose 5 choice of tools from 15 tools. I choose Pawtoon, Mybrainshark ( tools for presentation), Blendspace ( Class Lesson), Pinterest (Content curation) and Piktochart (Interactive Poster). But, I do realize there many tools that I can used for my teaching.

But, tools is just the tool. Its didn't meaningful if teacher just prepare the teaching via tools only. The most important is the pedagogical part. Its is how teacher approach pupils using the Tools listed. For example, we can use blendspace for the class lesson. How ever, teacher need to understand the situation in school whether it suit or not. Teacher may choose other tools that suitable for the class.
Schoology
Many of is doesnt realize that shoology have a same concept of facebook. Facebook is allowed for aged 18 and above. It also need an email for registration which allow 13 year old and above to enter. As the school pupils is under 13, it difficult to access the website. The website also have been ban in school by YTL. Using schoology, pupils will experience the same with using facebook.

Lecture Journal - 5 October 2015
Assalamualaikum and good day,
Today, we live in an internet era. This era is no borders and everybody connected. Everybody have power to talk free in every platform on web. In education, every school provide with a virtual learning environment called FROG. Even on the internet, teachers and pupils have a chance to used the apps for their teaching and learning. How every are they really used it? Are they know how to apply those apps in classroom? Are they know what is web 2.0?
Web 2.0
Today I learnt about web 2.0 technologies for teaching and learning. Web 2.0 basically is the social media that teachers and pupils can bound together everywhere. They can give respond each other about the topic in classroom. Gen Y pupils already expose to gadgets and the cutting edge technology. They learn something from all over the globe using internet. As a teacher, I need to do research on the best approach for these pupils and prepared the activities which involve the web 2.0.
Web 2.0
• Defined as the “Read-Write” Web – Provides all the services and applications to allow individuals to co-create content, collaborate and share it with others
• Supports user-generated content – Content created by users rather than specialist authors or publishing using a variety of affordable technologies like blogs, podcasts and wikis
• Encourages the social aspect of the web – Through the use of social media like blogs, wikis, social bookmarking tools and social networks
Type of Web 2.0
*Social networking - establishing and building online relationships with others, and a fundamental social activity
• File-sharing - creating, storing and/or sharing files in all formats: pictures, videos, presentations, documents, screencasts, etc
• Social bookmarking - storing and sharing links to web resources
• Communication tools - communicating in real time via instant messaging and chat, in web meetings, and in live broadcasts, or asynchronously via email
• Collaboration tools - working synchronously or asynchronously with other to co-create documents, presentations, mindmaps, etc
• Blogging - reading, commenting or writing blog posts
• Micro-blogging - sending, receiving and replying to short messages with others - for real-time communications
• Podcasting - creating or listening to audio (MP3) files
• RSS - Really Simple Syndication- subscribing to and reading blog and web news feeds
• Social and collaboration platforms - providing enterprise-wide, integrated suites of social media tools in one platform

The tools also have been categorize and teacher can choose for their lesson. To create the innovative learning environment, teacher need to prepare the plan which related with the seven principal of innovative learning. By using web 2.0, pupils will be more interested in learning and it will be meaningful to them.
